Christmas Vacation is probably my favorite Christmas movie! It never ceases to make me laugh. The last time my roommate and I watched it, she commented on how much she liked Clark’s flannel shirt and vest combination. As I watched the movie, I was surprised at how fashionable they were. Here are some outfits inspired by the Griswold family!
This vest and flannel combination has proved to be very popular this year! Here is a combo inspired by Clark:
L.L. Bean flannel shirt and Old Navy Vest.
Clark and Ellen’s fur-trimmed coats are another popular style.
This one is from Target (and it is on sale for less than $50!).
Who doesn’t love patterned pjs?
Polar Bear pajamas from Bloomingdale’s. I love these because they have polar bears on them (and polar bears are one of my favorite animals)!
These pajamas with foxes from Kohl’s are pretty cute too!
Ellen really hit the nail on the head with her beautiful Christmas Eve outfit! Here are some pieces to help you get the look:
Ruffle Blouse from Brooks Brothers. Ruffle Blouse from Macy’s.
Green Skirt from Choies. A-line Midi Skirt from Chic Wish.
These two brooches (first and second ) are from Sweet & Spark, and the best part is that each brooch is unique!
If you haven’t watched Christmas Vacation yet this year, I highly recommend doing it! And because this is one of my favorite Christmas songs, here is the Christmas Vacation song:
Even though I just saw a movie last weekend (The Intern), I had heard so many good things about The Martian that I had to go see that one too! Let me say, this was probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. Matt Damon played the role of the stranded botanist perfectly (plus he’s also nice to look at)! It kept my interest the whole time and even gave me a few laughs. Plus, there is a lot of science in the movie (although some of it probably isn’t realistic)! If you don’t believe me, here are what some of the critics are saying:
The Wall Street Journal
You won’t find a space epic that’s more fun to geek out at than The Martian. – Peter Travers (Rolling Stone)
An enthralling and rigorously realistic outer-space survival story in which Matt Damon plays a NASA botanist stranded on the Red Planet after a sandstorm forces his crewmates to abort mission.- Peter Debruge (Variety)
Go see this amazing movie!!
Over the weekend I went to go see The Intern, and let me just say, it surpassed my highest expectations. I thought it was just going to be another plotless comedy, but it was so much more. Not only were Anne Hathaway’s outfits on point, but Robert De Niro also convinced me that chivalry does still exist! Although some critics are saying that it has a dull plot, it kept my attention the whole time and did make me laugh quite a bit. If you are looking for a movie to watch this weekend, I highly recommend The Intern!
